Understand the measurements used on Numyra frame variants before choosing your pair.
Frame measurements
Measurements are normally shown in millimetres and may vary by color variant. Technical measurements are optional when the manufacturer has not supplied them.
- Lens width
- The horizontal width of one lens at its widest point.
- Lens height
- The vertical height of one lens at its tallest point.
- Bridge width
- The distance between the two lenses where the frame sits on the nose.
- Frame width
- The overall front width of the frame from its outermost edges.
- Temple length
- The length of each arm from the hinge to the tip behind the ear.
Reading a common size
A marking such as 52–18–140 usually means 52 mm lens width, 18 mm bridge width and 140 mm temple length. Frame width and lens height may be listed separately.
Choosing a fit
- Compare the measurements with a comfortable pair you already own.
- Use Small, Medium, Large or Oversized as a general guide, not a substitute for measurements.
- Frame shape, bridge design and adjustable nose pads also affect comfort.
